Documentary Filmmakers
Stacy is a Vanderbilt alum who created the university's first radio news program for which she won the Alexander Award for Journalism. She directed the award-winning documentary "Lucy Barks!" about Nashville's former all-ages punk rock club and recently edited CNN's "The 2000s," Executive Produced by Tom Hanks.
Craig is a Primetime Emmy-winner for his editing work on HBO's "Project Greenlight," Executive Produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. He was also Emmy-nominated for the documentary "A Century of Women," Executive Produced by Jane Fonda and Ted Turner, and recently completed the hit reboot of "In Search Of" starring Zachary Quinto.

Zhubin is a multiple Emmy award-winning comedian in New York City. He is currently a producer and writer at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, after serving two years as its head writer. He is a Vanderbilt alum and a member of the Student Media at Vanderbilt Hall of Fame.

As Nashville Public Radio's news director, she reports on a wide range of topics, including higher education, science and veterans. Emily has traveled around Tennessee to tell national news stories for NPR and Marketplace.

Dave, a 1991 Vanderbilt grad, is a sports journalist, author and songwriter. A staff writer for The Washington Post since 1999, he has won numerous awards and has had two stories selected for the Best American Sports Writing annual anthology. He is the author of the 2013 book, "RG3: The Promise," about quarterback Robert Griffin III, and in 2018 he released an album of original pop-rock songs, titled "First Thing Tomorrow." He is a member of the Student Media at Vanderbilt Hall of Fame.

This meet-and-greet event is sponsored by The Office of the Chancellor and is available by invitation only, offered exclusively to students who participate in Student Media groups.
Many first came to know McCain on the campaign trail with her father, the late Sen. John McCain, during his 2008 presidential run. She launched a blog that gained an avid readership and critical acclaim. It propelled her into a career as a political journalist, TV analyst and book author known for her conservative values and connection with younger audiences.
Since her father’s Aug. 25 death, Meghan McCain has stepped further into the national discourse, using her platform on The View as an opportunity for candid conversation about politics and their everyday effects on Americans. She holds a degree in art history from Columbia University and is the New York Times best-selling author of three books.
